This week on The Next Ten Thousand Hours, we have an update on the Crudrat crowdfunding campaign, and talk about how to manage rapid expansion when projects get too big to keep in your head. Documentation, wikis, war boards, how they work in a collaborative environment–and how not having them can kill you.

Within you will find:

  1. A conversation on documentation and collaboration.
  2. Reading: A selection from Chicken Noodle Gravity
  3. Kitty’s Corner: I Don’t Watch Television, Really…

We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it!

  1. Hey there! I’ve really been enjoying this podcast! I have been listening to Antithesis, Down From Ten, and other podcast if not by you then by some of the voices in your shows. This one is just as fun as the stories because I am at the begining of my first ten thousand hours and it’s great to see how people who actually know what they’re doing work.

I have two questions for you. The first, how do you actually format a series bible? I have done searches and have never actually seen one. I figure they’re usually kept under lock and key because of all the possible future spoilers and other such things. Is there maybe one for an old story you could show us? Or even talk more about?

The second is what Wiki thingy do you use? I know a bunch of people keep Wikis for their work and I was wondering what sight you guys use?

Thanks for your time and thanks for the awesome podcast! Hopefully it’ll help keep me sane in the month of November.

    Jarrett K
